BREAKING: Christine Ford Ready to Testify Next Week, Wants Terms That Ensure Her Safety
Dr. Christine Blasey Ford is ready to testify next week regarding her sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, her lawyer reportedly said in an email sent to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
In the email… the lawyer for Christine Blasey Ford said that testifying Monday — the timetable Republicans have set for a hearing — “is not possible and the Committee’s insistence that it occur then is arbitrary in any event.” The lawyer reiterated that it is Dr. Blasey’s “strong preference” that “a full investigation” occur before her testimony — wording that stopped short of demanding an F.B.I. probe and suggested she is open to testifying without one.
Lawyer Debra Katz reportedly said in the email that she wanted to set up a call to discuss the conditions of the testimony, including “terms that are fair and which ensure her safety.”

Here’s the email – first reported in NYT – about Christine Blasey Ford’s willingness to testify next week. They rule out Monday – and don’t say whether it will be public or private. Next question: Will Grassley accommodate moving the hearing to another day? pic.twitter.com/gpnnQayK9B
