George H.W. Bush Hospitalized After Barbara Bush’s Funeral

President George H.W. Bush, who just laid his wife to rest, has been hospitalized.

The 41st president has been dealing with health problems for years, but CNN reports that he has been admitted to the intensive care unit in “critical condition.” Details are scarce at the moment, though it seems Bush contracted an infection that has spread to his blood.

A spokesperson has told the media that Bush seems to be recovering amid his current health woes.

The news comes just days after the funeral for Barbara Bush. Bush’s wife died last week at the age of 92 after 73 years of marriage.

UPDATE – 8:27 p.m. EST: Melania Trump, who attended Mrs. Bush’s funeral on Saturday on behalf of herself and her husband, has expressed sympathies to the former president.
