Major Explosion Rocks Train Station in Saint Petersburg, Russia

 

A major explosion rocked a train station in the Russian metropolis of Saint Petersburg, Monday, according to Russian state media. Social media video reveals a number of frantic bystanders being evacuated.

Russian media has confirmed that at least 10 were killed.

The explosion reportedly took place in the city’s Sennaya Square subway station, placing the blast at the heart of Russia’s business and cultural capital.

It is unclear at this time what caused the explosion and whether it came from t he train or somewhere else inside the station.
