Senate Votes to Confirm Mike Pompeo for CIA Director

The Senate has voted to confirm Mike Pompeo to be the next director of the Central Intelligence Agency.
Pompeo has served in Congress since 2011 and Trump picked him for the position back in mid-November.
Democrats have voiced concerns with Pompeo’s nomination, though their efforts have been meet with criticisms of “delay tactics.”
Pompeo easily surpassed the number of votes required, but most notably Rand Paul voted against him:
Protecting the entire Bill of Rights is one of the main reasons I ran for office. I'll remain vigilant in that cause https://t.co/JTtXJEhBMP
