British Officials Think Rapper L Jinny May Have Killed James Foley
The British government is reportedly close to discovering the identity of the man who killed journalist James Foley in that graphic video released by ISIS. The British ambassador to the U.S. confirmed as much on CNN’s State of the Union yesterday, telling Candy Crowley that while he can’t divulge too much information, “I do know from my colleagues at home that we are close.”
Peter Westmacott also said that they’re utilizing “very sophisticated technologies” to discover who this individual is based on certain audible and visual clues in the video. Some linguists who have looked at the video have said that Foley’s killer sounds to be an England-educated man no older than 30.
And there actually might be a concrete lead, because it also came out yesterday that the key suspect is “hip hop jihadist” Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary, AKA L Jinny. Yes, this British rapper actually joined up with ISIS and recently posted a disturbing photo on Twitter showing him holding up a severed head.
