Buzz Aldrin Shared His Government-Issued Moon Travel Forms for #TBT
Turns out, even the Apollo 11 astronauts had to file paperwork with U.S. Customs upon their return from the moon. That’s according to the latest from spaceman-turned-social media guru Buzz Aldrin, who shared scans of his official travel vouchers and customs forms on Facebook and Twitter this past Thursday.

The @Buzzs_xtina Aldrin refers to here is Christina Korp, who serves as Manager and Mission Control Director at Buzz Aldrin Enterprises, LLC. (There she manages “the Buzz Aldrin Brand and ‘all things Buzz,'” according to LinkedIn.) In addition to the initial voucher scans posted on Thursday, Aldrin also gave his followers a glimpse of the Apollo 11 crew’s general declaration form on Sunday.
Yes the #Apollo11 crew also signed customs forms. We brought back moon rocks & moon dust samples. Moon disease TBD. pic.twitter.com/r9Sn57DeoW

Such was required because, as Aldrin points out, the team “brought back moon rocks & moon dust samples.” Because if any “moon disease” were to break out on planet Earth, we’d definitely need the requisite paperwork in order to determine where it came from, and who was responsible.
