BuzzFeed Gets Ted Cruz to Audition for The Simpsons

Earlier this year, BuzzFeed convinced President Barack Obama to imitate emojis in a mirror and use a selfie stick. Now, for some reason, it’s Ted Cruz’s turn.

During his trip to the BuzzFeed offices, Cruz decided it would be a good idea for him to “audition” for various roles on The Simpsons now that voiceover staple Harry Shearer has announced he’s leaving the show. And Cruz didn’t only take a stab at Shearer-voiced characters like Mr. Burns and Ned Flanders, but also tried Lisa and Homer Simpson on for size.

The major highlight came towards the end when Cruz “twirled towards freedom” like alien overloads Kang and Kodos before admitting that he has a face best suited for radio and animation.
