Chris McDaniel lost the Mississippi runoff to Senator Thad Cochran, but he’s refusing to let it go without a fight. And today, the McDaniel campaign pushed back against the allegation that his campaign paid $15 per vote by asking for $15 donations and offering a $1000 reward for anyone with solid proof of voter fraud on the part of Cochran’s campaign.
The McDaniel campaign claims it’s already found 3300 ineligible Cochran votes and is challenging the results however it can.
But today, in a pretty bold (or desperate, depending on how you look at it) move, the McDaniel campaign made a cash offering for more information to help them contest the election.
We’re offering $1,000 for evidence leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in voter fraud on or leading up to the June 24, 2014, Republican primary runoff election in Mississippi.
To fund the reward(s) we’re asking conservatives to counter Thad’s alleged $15 scheme with a $15 plan of our own. Just $15 will help us battle Cochran’s alleged $15 vote buying scheme.
This is really shaping up to be the weirdest race of the year.
