Clinton: ‘I Don’t Recall Any Joke’ About Drone Striking the Founder of WikiLeaks

Hillary Clinton took press questions on Tuesday. She was asked about online allegations that she once floated assassinating WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

“I don’t recall any joke,” Clinton said in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. “It would have been a joke, if it had been said, but I don’t recall that.”

The rumor about Clinton and Assange formed over the past few days, after WikiLeaks circulated a report which claimed that Clinton once casually asked “Can’t we just drone this guy?” The claim has been challenged by various outlets, and Clinton’s campaign manager Robby Mook responded by commenting about how WikiLeaks “made a lot of accusations in the past.”

Early Tuesday morning, Wikileaks held an event that was expected to air new information highly-destructive to Clinton’s campaign. No such information came however, much to the disappointment of Clinton’s critics.
