CNN Lifts Suspension On Roland S. Martin
Keep an eye out for Roland S. Martin (and, presumably, his wide collection of colorful cravats) popping up on CNN again. The network has lifted the columnist and commentator’s suspension.
You’ll likely recall that Martin had been at the center of much media scrutiny following Tweets he’d sent out last Super Bowl Sunday, including one about “smacking the ish” out of any football-watching body who shows interest in the revealing David Beckham underwear ad that aired during the game.

GLAAD called out Martin on the social networking site, then spearheaded a campaign to have him fired from CNN.

Soon after the incident, Martin had published a post explaining he’d been making a quip at the expense of soccer fans, not the LGBT community. GLAAD followed up with their own open letter highlighting a pattern of behavior on Martin’s part.
