Convicted Boston Marathon Bomber Apologizes in Court
Convicted Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev apologized in court today to the victims and survivors of the bombing.
There were no cameras in the courtroom, but there were still a lot of reporters in the room. Victims and their loved ones confronted Tsarnaev about his horrible actions, and when it was his turn to say something, he apologized.
According to NECN, Tsarnaev said, “I would like to now apologize to the victims, to the survivors… I am sorry for the lives that I’ve taken, the suffering that I’ve caused and the damage that I’ve done, irreparable damage.”
Tsarnaev also asked Allah to have mercy on him.
Tsarnaev is in court today for the formal sentencing of the death penalty, following him being sentenced by a jury last month.
