Country Singer Randy Travis In Critical Condition

Country singer Randy Travis was hospitalized in Texas yesterday and is currently in critical condition.

Travis’ publicist released a press release today saying that he is “suffering from complications of recently acquired viral cardiomyopathy.”

According to CNN, Travis was performing recently, in Detroit and Chicago last week, and was set to perform in South Dakota on Wednesday. His publicist says that he looked fine during meetings over the weekend, but “on Sunday, it hit him.”

Travis is known for country songs like “Forever And Ever, Amen” and “Deeper Than The Holler.”
