Demi Lovato Reportedly Hospitalized After Heroin Overdose (UPDATED)

Pop star Demi Lovato, 25, was rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles after an apparent heroin overdose, multiple outlets reported Tuesday.
People confirmed that LAPD and LAFD responded to a “medical emergency” at a home in Los Angeles this morning. Lovato was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
Lovato has had a public years-long struggle with bipolar disorder, bulimia, substance abuse, and self-harm. In 2011, she entered treatment for these conditions, relapsed after leaving the treatment center, and then lived in a sober living facility for a year.
Lovato had been six years sober until this June, when she announced the latest relapse in a song titled “Sober.”
