Donna Brazile Comes to Terms, Admits Dems ‘Got Buried’ in Midterms
Democratic National Committee Vice Chairwoman Donna Brazile seems to have accepted the severity of the midterm election results.
After Tuesday — that fateful day that saw big gains for Congressional Republicans — Brazile jumped on Twitter to express her frustration, charging that the GOP “bought” the election results and quoting biblical scripture to console herself.
By Thursday, she reached acceptance.
“The Democratic Party has to rebuild,” she tweeted. “We must look for an example of something else that got buried roughly as badly as Dems did on Tuesday.”
She followed up, “Sorry, the city of Pompeii isn’t a very encouraging example.”
Pompeii is a city in Italy that was destroyed by a volcano hundreds of years ago.
