‘Don’s Johns’ Logos Covered with Tape on Port-a-Potties in D.C. for Inauguration
The company Don’s Johns provides port-a-potties across the DC metro area, including hauling out lots of units for the 2009 presidential inauguration. They’re doing the same this time, but with one notable difference.
According to the AP, the company’s logo is being taped over on port-a-potties near the site of the inauguration:

It’s unclear exactly what’s going on here, and one person at the company told DCist this hasn’t happened before:
“We didn’t authorize anyone to cover them up,” says Robert Weghorst, Don’s Johns chief operating officer. “We’re trying to get to the bottom of it.”
The Virginia-based company is widely experienced with large-scale events, but Weghorst says they’ve never had to deal with this kind of issue…
“We’ve never run into this before, someone placing this ugly blue tape over the logo,” Weghorst says.
As some people have pointed out, it’s possible workers fear pranksters might be tempted to do something with the “Don’s Johns” sign, considering the name of the man getting inaugurated next week.
