Earnest: You Don’t Need Security Clearance to See Who Benefitted from Russian Hacking
White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest fielded a lot of questions today on reports of Russian interference in the election.
“You didn’t need a security clearance,” he said, “to figure out who benefitted from malicious Russian cyber activity.”

Earnest even said of Donald Trump, “He called on Russia to hack his opponent… so he certainly had a pretty good sense whose side this activity was coming down on.”
He added that all the leaked emails came from the DNC and John Podesta, not the RNC and Steve Bannon.
