Eric Bolling: Trump Actually Confronts Media, While Clinton Avoids Them

Screen Shot 2016-06-01 at 6.32.12 PMOn Fox’s The Five Wednesday night, co-host Eric Bolling posited that one crucial difference between presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump and his likely opponent in the general election, Hillary Clinton, is that while the latter shuns confrontation with the media, the former embraces it.

The panel was referring more specifically to Trump’s contentious presser Tuesday when he insulted members of the press to their face, including calling ABC’s Tom Llamas “a sleaze”, and to the fact that Clinton had not held a press conference since 2016 began.

“Do you see the different between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump? Hillary Clinton pushes back on the idea of getting unscripted questions fielded from various different press groups,” Bolling said. “Donald Trump embraces it. He looks for that confrontation. And he goes back and forth and doesn’t — isn’t offended by stuff, fights hard back. But Hillary Clinton just avoids it completely.”
