Florence Henderson Has Died at 82
Florence Henderson, whose career as an actress and singer spanned more than six decades, died on Thursday at the age of 82. Henderson is best known for her work as Carol Brady, the matriarch on The Brady Bunch. Her death was confirmed by her publicist, David Brokaw, who said she died of heart failure at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He told the New York Times, “She was quite active until she started not feeling well several days ago. It was felt that she would just bounce back from it.”
Just three days before her death she was in the audience at Dancing With the Stars to support her TV daughter Maureen McCormick. She also had a cameo in one of McCormick’s dances earlier this season.
The Brady Bunch aired during the late 60s and early 70s but lived on in syndication. McCormick and Barry Williams, who played Greg Brady on the show remembered Henderson on Twitter
