Fox’s Troy Aikman Rips New Colleague Skip Bayless as Not ‘Talented, Respectible, And Credible’
Fox’s Troy Aikman is less than thrilled about his network’s hire of Skip Bayless.
Speaking with Richard Deitsch of Sports Illustrated, the former Dallas Cowboys quarterback sounded off about Bayless.
I believe success is achieved by acquiring and developing talented, respected and credible individuals, none of which applies to Skip Bayless.
The remarks are just the latest salvo in a feud between the two that dates back to when Bayless published an unsubstantiated rumor that the former Cowboys signal caller was gay.
“He did it, as he does everything, just for attention,” Aikman told Deitsch in 2015.
Aikman took new Fox Sports President Jamie Horowitz directly to task, as Horowitz — who worked closely with Bayless at ESPN — was instrumental in bringing the broadcaster and his hot takes to Fox Sports.
“Clearly, Jamie Horowitz and I have a difference of opinion when it comes to building a successful organization,” Aikman said.
