GOP Rep Defends Trump: ‘Sometimes a Lady Needs To Be Told When She’s Being Nasty’
In a radio interview with Fox News’ Alan Colmes, Texas Republican Congressman and Donald Trump supporter Brian Babin defended Trump’s debate remark that Hillary Clinton was a “nasty woman,” saying sometimes women need to be told when they’re nasty.
“He called her a ‘nasty woman,'” Colmes recounted in a clip first noticed by CNN. “Was that appropriate?”
“You know what, she’s saying some nasty things,” Babin replied.
“You think it’s appropriate to call her a ‘nasty woman’?” Colmes asked again.
Babin replied that he was “a genteel Southerner.” Colmes mistakenly assumed that meant he opposed the gibe, but Babin clarified that was why he supported Trump’s remark. “I think sometimes a lady needs to be told when she’s being nasty. I do,” he said.
