GOP Strategist Evan Siegfried Buries Nielsen, Scaramucci on Migrant Policy: ‘Devoid’ of Morality
Sunday night, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen tweeted that the Donald Trump administration policy of separating migrant families at the border does not exist.
“We do not have a policy of separating families at the border,” Nielsen said. “Period.”
“She’s either a liar or suffering from severe…memory loss,” said Republican strategist Evan Siegfried in a fiery monologue on MSNBC Monday. “We talk about how President Trump wants to make American strong and great again. Our greatness and our strength comes from our morality and our compassion. And this administration is absolutely devoid of it. It is absolutely infuriating!”
Siegfried did not give a pass to Anthony Scaramucci — who, Monday on CNN, slammed the Trump policy for its bad “optics” and said he believes the president will eventually stop it.
“Anthony Scaramucci this morning was saying, ‘Well, the president will probably reverse because it’s just bad optics,” Siegfried said. “Not bad optics. Mooch, he was in the White House for 11 days and I know he wants to become the next James Carville. But that doesn’t qualify him to fail to recognize that it’s bad morality. It shows us to be an uncompassionate and immoral people. And it also sends a terrible signal to rest of the world.”
