Shocking Footage Shows Bomb Detonating in Russian Train Station

A security camera caught a suicide bomber’s moment of detonation inside a Volgograd railway station in Russia Sunday morning.

At least sixteen were killed and over fifty injured when the blast tore through the main entryway of the station; helicopters were later flown in to airlift the injured to Moscow hospitals.

Differing reports have pegged the bomber as a Caucasus woman or an unidentified man not working alone. Either way, the attack intensifies safety concerns six weeks ahead of the Sochi Olympics. President Vladimir Putin ordered heightened security at major transit centers, and called for law enforcement to be on alert following the blast.
