Iranian Prez Rouhani Deletes Tweet Praising Nuclear Deal
In a rapidly deleted tweet, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani seemed to indicate that deal had been reached in the protracted P5+1 negotiations:

Almost simultaneously, Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif tweeted that a deal had not been reached yet:
If #IranDeal reached, triumph of diplomacy means we all will have won when we all could have lost. Plain and simple; no spin needed.

Word leaked yesterday that the parties were approaching a deal to limit Iran’s nuclear development in exchange for an easing of sanctions, though it appeared that several issues still needed to be resolved. The negotiations have been extraordinarily tenuous, with the U.S. indicating recently that it was skeptical about a deal and willing to walk away.
Reading the tea leaves through Rouhani’s Twitter feed can be tricky as well, as he often uses Twitter to attempt to mollify his country’s global image even as he stokes Iran’s hardline conservatives domestically.
