Is It Real? Horrifying Baby Yoga Video Tears Up Internet

A terrifying video has gone viral which seems to show a Russian woman tossing and spinning an infant around by its legs and arms. Gawker posted it with the headline “This Baby-Swinging Yoga Video Can’t Be Real, Right?” and, for all the horrified parents out there, we’d just like to add: No. No it can’t.

The baby in the video is clearly seen moving at the beginning and end but there has to be some kind of trickery in between. We contacted a colleague in medicine who had to only watch about 10 seconds before pointing out that a real baby would have already died. While Gawker has found a video of a circus family and their older baby that does a very simple spin similar to the ones here, this new video just can’t be real.
