Jeb: Obama’s Mosque Visit ‘More Than Appropriate’
Today, presidential candidate Jeb Bush, whose poor showing in this election season has shocked just about everyone, did something even more shocking than usual: he didn’t jump at the opportunity to bash President Barack Obama for visiting a mosque yesterday.
While his GOP rival Marco Rubio couldn’t form the words “radical Islam” denounce Obama’s visit fast enough, Bush was almost disinterested in the topic altogether, saying it was “more than appropriate.”
“I don’t think its divisive to go speak in a mosque,” he said, according to Time. “I’m surprised it took his eighth year to do it .”
He continued taking the high road, acknowledging that there are “peace-loving” Muslims living all around the United States. His only complaint, in fact, was that Obama has been “derelict in his duties to destroy the caliphate.”
