JetBlue Offers Free Flights for Officers to Attend NYPD Cops’ Funerals

 

JetBlue offered free flights this week to police officers who wanted to attend funeral services for Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos, the two NYPD officers who were fatally shot last weekend.

Ramos’ wake took place tonight and his funeral will be held tomorrow. There is no official word yet on when Liu’s funeral will be held. But JetBlue assured in a statement that they will “[make] flights available to law enforcement agencies across our route network who wish to send representatives to New York to support their brethren.”

It should be noted here that, according to CBS News, JetBlue is offering the free flights for two officers per law enforcement agency.
