John Heilemann Describes Seeing Trump’s Wet Hair: ‘When It’s Slicked Back, It Looks a Little Like…’

On Wednesday night’s Daily Show, host Trevor Noah welcomed the duo known in many circles as “The Game Change Guys”: Mark Halperin and John Heilemann. The Bloomberg hosts appeared on the Comedy Central late night show to promote their Showtime series The Circus, an insider’s look into the campaign craziness that gives the two access to things most people haven’t seen.

This was a point of interest for Noah, who directly asked Heilemann a question that at one point or another has probably crossed your mind as well: “Have you seen things that nobody else has? Like, have you seen [Donald Trump’s] hair wet? Is it hair? What’s going on there?”

Heilemann revealed the rare moments that he has seen that the Trump campaign strangely has managed to keep from the public’s eye. “He has, on several occasions, in the course of this campaign taken off the hat… and it’s been hot, so it’s slicked back,” he said, conjuring up one hell of an image. “And he looks a little, when it’s slicked all the way back, he looks a little like Michael Douglas as Gordon Gekko in Wall Street.”

Greed is good… maybe not a huge stretch to draw that comparison. Heilemann also remarked about the long-running theory that Trump’s hair isn’t real at all:

“It’s real. Whether it’s totally authentic is another question, but it’s real.”

Watch the above clip from The Daily Show; the question about Trump’s mopped mop pops in around the 2:30 mark.
