Kim Davis Reportedly Disobeyed Judge’s Order by Altering Marriage Forms

kim-davisKentucky clerk Kim Davis has been a figure of controversy for her very public stance against gay marriage with her repeated attempts to defy court orders by not issuing marriage licenses. Davis was recently released from a brief stint in jail under the condition of the presiding judge that she make no effort to alter the forms issued by her office, or halt any of her deputies.

However, an AP report today reveals that she altered the forms. An attorney for one of her deputy clerks said that she removed her name and “Davis County” from the forms, in what’s being called a clear violation of the judge’s order.

Davis has been back on the job for a week now, but her continued efforts to stand for her religious principles has been a repeated discussion point across the media and amongst the recent GOP debate. The Associated Press were reportedly told of Davis’ latest actions by an attorney representing Brian Mason, one of her deputies who promised he would defy her and obey the court if ever order to withhold licenses again.
