Kimmel’s Guillermo ‘Translates’ Tim Kaine’s Speech Back to English… Sort Of

One of the most enduring parts of Virginia Senator Tim Kaine‘s recent emergence into the national spotlight has been his fluency in Spanish, something that is undoubtedly playing to undecided voters in Florida (or so the Clinton camp hopes). From time to time, Kaine can bust out his second language pretty easily, and during a recent campaign stop at a Miami church group, he did just did.

To help with the translation of the speech back to English, Jimmy Kimmel used his pal Guillermo in real time. “Hillary is a person,” translated Guillermo. “She works at Hooters in Chicago.”

Guillermo Rodriguez, originally from Mexico, has been Kimmel’s Ed McMahon on Jimmy Kimmel Live since being discovered working on the security lot for their Los Angeles studios. “Your vote is important. Let’s have sex,” Guillermo continued, which I’m sure is exactly what Tim Kaine told the Florida crowd.
