Libyan Militants Hold Pool Party at Abandoned U.S. Embassy

Militants in Libya “secured” a U.S. embassy in Tripoli Sunday, and promptly “secured” its swimming pool.

The residential annex of the embassy was evacuated over a month ago when the U.S. withdrew diplomatic staff as the security situation in Libya deteriorated.

A group of Islamist militants overtook the empty building Sunday, and video emerged of the subsequent revery, with soldiers diving off of second story balconies. Despite this, reports indicate that the embassy has not been ransacked or significantly damaged. That pool probably needs some chlorine, though.
