‘Literally Every Republican’: Liberals Dust Off Lisa Kudrow’s Scathing GOP Spox Skit for Trump 2.0
Friends actress Lisa Kudrow’s biting parody of a Republican spokesperson is enjoying a fresh burst of attention online, going viral as liberals once again seize on the skit as a pitch-perfect satire of the MAGA White House political playbook.
The clip, from Netflix’s mockumentary Death to 2020, was written by Black Mirror creators Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones and skewers the Trump-aligned Republicans for apparently denying inconvenient facts outright.
One Facebook account that resurfaced the clip as a reel summed up the online reaction: “Lisa Kudrow nailed it! This was the best Republican impersonation I have ever seen, I was even getting upset thinking this was real. Love it!”
The nearly 5-year-old video is now doing the rounds again on X and Instagram:
In it, Kudrow plays Jeanetta Grace Susan, a fictional “non-official spokesperson” for President Donald Trump’s first administration, defending him from impeachment with a string of verbal pirouettes.
“The whole impeachment thing was baseless, OK. So the Democrats claim that Trump pressured Ukraine into digging up dirt on the Biden family and their only real ‘evidence’ of that is the transcript of him doing it,” the character says with a breezy certainty.
When pressed on what the transcript actually says, she shoots back: “What transcript?” Moments later, she escalates the absurdity: “There’s no such place as Ukraine … I choose to believe there is not.”
The satirical beat feels all too familiar for Trump critics in 2025 as the new Trump White House clashes on tariff policies and the Jeffrey Epstein “hoax,” among other issues.
