Maryland Gov. O’Malley’s Reddit AMA Goes Rather Horribly
Plenty of people have attempted Reddit AMA’s (short for “Ask Me Anything”) but they didn’t turn out quite as planned. Woody Harrelson‘s was the unfortunate gold standard for bad AMAs, and AMAs attempted by both Rachel Maddow and Ann Coulter went disastrously too. Well, Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley attempted an AMA of his own Monday morning that did not go well at all.
Almost all of O’Malley’s comments were downvoted into negative numbers, and Redditors complained about O’Malley not being completely forthright in his answers to their questions. For example, one called him out for whitewashing his positions on medical marijuana:

O’Malley also shocked some Redditors for giving away they game a bit when asked about gerrymandering in Maryland:

Here are some of the other responses O’Malley got for his answers:

There were also a lot of people who just posted about how horribly the AMA was going:

Is this one of those “I’ve made a huge mistake” moments or a “better to have tried and failed than not to have tried at all” moments?
