Mediaite Is Looking For Fall Editorial Interns to Join Our Team!

Mediaite is seeking interns for Fall 2018, beginning in October. The ideal candidate is a current college or graduate student looking for hands-on writing and research experience at a news and politics site, gaining crucial experience in the process.
Mediaite is one of the leading voices in politics, media, entertainment. In a 24-hour span, we give readers everything from a political gaffe to a big cable news interview to a recap of Westworld and we are regularly featured on all the major cable news networks.
As an intern, you’ll be doing some of the vital tasks that go into making a digital news site tick: researching, fact-checking, copy editing, comment moderation and transcribing interviews. You will also get the chance to write stories for our site that millions of people will see, so English, Journalism, or Political Science degrees are especially encouraged to apply. You’ll be collecting bylines and padding a portfolio of writing samples, learning from our team of talented writers and editors. The ideal candidate has a strong passion for headlines, politics, media, cable news, and the wide intersection of all the above.
We are currently looking for candidates who can work out of our Herald Square offices in New York City. And yes… several of our full-time editors over the years began in the intern program!
