Mexican Literary Magazine Pulls No Punches In New Cover Featuring Trump

The Mexican literary magazine Letras Libres pulled no punches in the cover for its October issue, which they unveiled Wednesday.

The current issue includes articles with titles like “Donald Trump Thinks Politics is Business, and Business is Theft” and “Hillary’s Attacks on Trump in Their First Head-to-Head,” which begins by asserting, “She crushed him.”

Though many have noted Trump’s authoritarian policies and demagogic style, mainstream publications typically stop short of assigning the word “fascist” to him, let alone making direct comparisons with Hitler.

In January the German weekly Der Spiegel unveiled a cover of Trump superimposed on a burning American flag with the headline: “Madness: America’s Agitator Donald Trump.”

The cover follows a New York Times book review of a Hitler biography, and the review was widely interpreted as a critique of Trump.
