MSNBC’s Kerry Sanders dealt with a hilarious hiccup this morning when the cruise ship he was on totally blocked him during his report from Cuba.
Sanders was on board the Fathom Adonia, moments from becoming the first American cruise liner in over fifty years to dock in Havana after the normalization of travel and diplomatic relations between the country and the United States. As Sanders noted earlier in the segment, many Americans have been forbidden from visiting Cuban soil since 1963, and even though the economic embargo is still in effect, the travelers on board were excited to explore the local culture.
Just as Sanders was about to close out, the ship signaled its preparations to dock by blasting it’s blowhorn, instantly derailing the segment. “That was well timed,” Sanders said as he chuckled, and Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski were also left helplessly giggling as they watched from the set of Morning Joe.
For Sanders, being interrupted by the background is a hilarious albeit unfortunate habit of his, seeing as how something similar happened in February when he tried to report from a live gun range.
