NFL Players React to Aaron Hernandez Guilty Verdict
Lest anyone be surprised, former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was convicted of all charges, including first degree murder, on Wednesday morning.
As our friends at SportsGrid pointed out, Twitter was awash with amateur (and professional) comedians making pun-laden jokes about Hernandez, the Patriots, and prison. But there was another subset of post-verdict Twitter worth nothing: NFL star reaction Twitter.
Here’s one from Hernandez’s former teammate at the University of Florida:

Here’s the reaction from a former NFL draftee whose career never came to fruition, largely due to off-field problems:
Aaron Hernandez is trying to hold it together right now. It's gone hurt when he goes back to his cell. I know the feeling.

From the Arizona Cardinals guard:
So sad to see young lives taken/thrown away…

And the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ defensive tackle:
Cincinnati Bengals running back:
Dang that's crazy….

A former star linebacker:
Not worth it

And Indianapolis Colts cornerback:
