Nicki Minaj Drops New Track: ‘Donald Trump Wants Me to Go Home’
Nicki Minaj posted a new track to her Soundcloud account today. It doesn’t go as far as Eminem‘s “Campaign Speech,” or even Mac Miller‘s anti-Donald Trump rant from The Nightly Show, she still got a little political.
In the song, “Black Barbies,” Minaj raps, “Island girl, Donald Trump want me go home / Still pull up with my wrist lookin’ like a snowcone.”
That name-check was a blatant reference to what many see as Trump’s xenophobia, but it was a later dig that left out the name and made a stronger statement: “Half a mili on the Maybach Pullman, bought it /
Now I’m prayin’ all my foreigns don’t get deported.”
The line is a joke about hoping her foreign cars aren’t deported along with the undocumented immigrants Trump has vowed to kick out, but taken more seriously, it’s also an expression of fear for some of her friends.
Minaj hasn’t kept her disdain of Trump and his family a secret over the last few months and it’s likely her future features and tracks will contain more disses.
