Obama: If I Ran Again, ‘I Would Win’
Speaking at a speech during his African trip, President Barack Obama sounded pretty confident he could win a third term, if only it were constitutional.
“I actually think I’m a pretty good president,” Obama said. “I think if I ran, I would win. But I can’t.”
Per Politico, Obama was contrasting the American political system with African systems in which leaders can rule for decades, and praising the fact that the U.S. replaces its president every four to eight years.
“I’m still a pretty young man, but I know that someone with new insights and new energy will be good for my country,” he said.
Yes, there are conspiracy theories that Obama plans to repeal to the 22nd Amendment and run for a third term.
