Obama: No Matter What Happens, ‘The Sun Will Rise in The Morning’
President Obama released an Election Night address, stating that no matter what happens at the end of the day, America will certainly live on.
In a video released by BuzzFeed, Obama addressed the insanity of the election, along with the tremendous angst and divisiveness it has caused amongst Americans. Nonetheless, the president stressed that America has it made it through tough elections before, and can do so again.
“Let’s face it: This has been an exhausting, stressful, and sometimes downright weird election for all of us,” Obama said. “While we’ve certainly seen some new things this time around, what isn’t new is that our democracy has always been rowdy and raucous. We’ve been through tough and divisive elections before and we’ve always come out stronger for it.”
