Report: Donald Trump Golf Course Snubbed Obama

During a fundraising trip to New York in late August, several golf courses turned President Barack Obama away when his crew tried booking some tee time, according to NBC New York.

Among the courses were the Winged Foot, Willow Ridge and Donald Trump‘s Trump National Golf Club, according to the report. Trump is a well-known critic of Obama, having long-suggested that the president wasn’t born in the U.S. and is thus ineligible to hold his current office.

The courses did not comment on the matter to NBC New York but the outlet reported that it was an issue of the golf courses not wanting to inconvenience their members who pay costly fees for membership, especially not over Labor Day weekend.
