Report: Prince Worked ‘154 Hours Straight’ Before His Death

princeBefore being found dead on Thursday in an elevator by staff members at his home in Paisley Park, the late artist Prince reportedly worked a staggering six days in a row — without sleep.

According to Prince’s brother-in-law Maurice Phillips, the Purple Rain singer worked for 154 hours prior to his death. Prince’s sister Tyka Nelson is married to Phillips.

“I was with him just last weekend,” Maurice said at a gathering for family held this weekend. “He worked 154 hours straight. He was a good brother-in-law.”

A man known only as Doctor D. has come forth since Prince’s death claiming that the artist struggled with opiate painkillers, an affliction not known to many people if true. An autopsy was completed Saturday on the 57-year-old, though it could be weeks until his exact cause of death is known.
