Rick Ross: Kanye West is a ‘Genius,’ ‘Played’ Everyone With Breakdown

Kanye West‘s hospitalization in November was reportedly the result of dehydration and exhaustion, and many believe he was suffering from a mental breakdown. Rick Ross has another theory. During an appearance in New York on Sunday night, he suggested the whole thing might be a hoax.

“One time for Yeezy,” he said to the audience. “My homie’s a genius, and for everybody who thought he was wigging out, he played y’all.”

West was in the hospital for more than a week after an incident at his trainer’s house prompted a 911 call. It’s not clear whether Ross is being serious or if he was attempting to bring some levity to the situation. TMZ says it was “no stunt.”
