Romney: Obama’s Mistakes ‘More Severe’ than I Would’ve Predicted
While stumping for GOP candidates in West Virginia, 2012 GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney told the Washington Times that Obama’s second term had turned out even worse than he had warned during the election.
“I was not a big fan of the president’s policies, as you know, either domestically or internationally,” he said. “But the results of his mistakes and errors, in my opinion, have been more severe than even I would have predicted.”
Romney cited Russia’s incursion into the Ukraine and the rise of ISIS in Iraq and Syria as the harvest of Obama’s policies.
The Washington Times characterized the event as a “Romney for President” rally in everything but name, though noted that Romney repeatedly denied that he was running for a third time.
