Sarah Sanders Trashes Michael Wolff For Trump Book: ‘Complete Fantasy,’ ‘Tabloid Gossip’
Sarah Huckabee Sanders faced even more questions about the President Trump/Steve Bannon feud today, and she responded to the grillling by slamming Michael Wolff and questioning his credibility.
Wolff’s upcoming book, Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, was the catalyst for a firestorm of intrigue that currently surrounds the Trump Administration. Sanders faced a plethora of questions about the subject yesterday, and she responded to today’s inquiries by saying that Wolff’s book is “trash” and “full of lies.”
“There are numerous examples of falsehoods that take place in the book,” said Sanders. “There are numerous mistakes, but I’m not going to waste my time or the country’s time going page by page, talking about a book that’s complete fantasy and just full of tabloid gossip, because it’s sad, pathetic, and our administration and our focus is going to be on moving the country forward.”
Sanders also took questions about how Trump sent a legal threat to Wolff and his publishers demanding him not to go forward with his books’s release. On this matter, Sanders said the president “certainly believes that it shouldn’t be” published — thought when pressed on the president’s track record for empty legal threats, Sanders returned to her stance of trashing the book’s contents.
