Sarah Silverman Freaks Out After Finding Swastikas on Sidewalk (…They Weren’t Swastikas)

Comedienne Sarah Silverman went into hysterics on Twitter Sunday after finding Nazi swastikas drawn on the pavement in the town she was visiting.

No, those aren’t actually swastikas. They appear to be fairly standard markers to aide utility workers. One construction worker on Twitter chimed in to suggest that they use the marks to note the locations of underground pipes, wires, etc.

Twitter mockery swiftly ensued, with the best running gag undoubtedly coming from Stephen Miller (not the Trump advisor).

Silverman, who is Jewish, admitted her mistake and chalked it up to receiving anti-Semitic abuse on a daily basis.
