Saturday Night Live Shows What Goes on Behind the Scenes in New Video

In politics, it can be disconcerting to, as the saying goes, see how the sausage is made. The same is not true of television, as the good people at Saturday Night Live proved when they released the behind-the-scenes footage from last week’s opening sketch about a shirtless Vladimir Putin playing Santa at Donald Trump‘s place.

Watch the clip above to hear producers counting down and watch technies run to and from the set to clear it and get the set for the next skit ready as the opening credits play just loud enough for everyone to know how much time they have left.

There are moving wall panels, rolling carpets, dropping clocks, and semi-harried words of affirmation from the producers. Seems like a stressful job, right?
