Fundamentalists Conference Under Fire for Blackface Boxing Match
The National Young Fundamentalists Conference, held this year at a Kentucky church, has come under fire for a boxing match skit that involved a church assistant donning blackface to play the role of Mr. T. I pity the fool who thought this was a good idea.
Pastor’s assistant Joseph Pickens took this picture of himself after applying the blackface and tweeted it out (now deleted):

Pastor Jeff Fugate, who oversaw the event at the Clay Mills Road Baptist Church, profusely apologized for the offensive display, pleading ignorance. “I apologize if I offended someone, I don’t even know as a pastor what those skits will be,” he said.
Pickens-as-Mr.-T fought another man pretending to be Curly from The Three Stooges in a mock-boxing match that ended with Curly beating the stunt double who tapped in for Pickens.
