Texas Tech Campus on Lockdown After Officer Fatally Shot; Suspect on the Run (UPDATED)
Texas Tech University is on lockdown tonight after a police officer was gunned down at the school campus police headquarters.
Early reports indicate that the shooting happened after cops found drugs and illicit material inside a student’s dorm room during a welfare investigation. As the student was being booked, he pulled out a gun, shot an officer in the head and fled on foot.

The university sent out a lockdown alert, stating that the shooter is still at large and students should shelter in place.
