The Best Jimmy Fallon Episode Ever, Featuring Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, 6-bee

While The Tonight Show with Jay Leno will be cross-airing on the Sarah Palin Network, the other NBC late night comedy show, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, has been thriving in another arena as well – on the web.

Thursday night’s show was a perfect example – jam-packed with viral videos rarely seen among the current crop of late night shows.

The latest episode of the Glee take-off, called “6-bee” (after the studio Fallon’s show tapes in) aired Thursday – a nine-minute pre-taped digital short-like sketch. But it didn’t just feature the wide variety of Fallon staffers (and house band The Roots). The entire cast of NBC’s Thursday night up-and-comer Parks & Recreation was part of the sketch. It was a face-off between Fallon and Amy Poehler, star of Parks, which concluded with a lengthy rendition of “We’re Not Gonna Take It.” It’s pretty spectacular (and includes the line “Mind if I use your dressing room? To defecate in?”). Here it is, and below, Poehler shows up again:

Tina Fey, who guest hosted SNL Saturday and shared the Weekend Update desk with Fallon during her time on the show, was a guest Thursday night. She teamed up with Fallon to face off against Poehler and her desk-mate, Seth Meyers, in a game of Charades. Celebrity Charades – did NBC just solve their 10pm problem?
