The Daily Caller Apologizes for ‘Kill All the Jews’ Headline, Blames Hungover Editor
According to Tucker Carlson, a very hungover editor was the cause of one of the Daily Caller’s worst headlines ever, screencapped below by a Media Matters staffer:

Yes, that headline does indeed say “Kill All The Jews And When That Is Done Kill Those That Refused To Defend Them.” Apart from the fact that it needs a lot of commas, “Kill All The Jews” is not a good thing to put in a headline.
As soon as it was flagged, the Daily Caller quickly changed it to the far more innocuous “‘They Came For The Jews, And I Didn’t Speak Up.’ It’s Happening Again”, though “kill-all-the-jews” is still in the URL.)
Carlson told Talking Points Memo that the original headline didn’t accurately represent the column’s argument, which definitely didn’t call for the death of Jews. Rather, the column, authored by Maj. Gen. Jerry R. Curry, argued that radical Islamic terrorist groups would attempt to kill Christians who didn’t step up to protect Jews. “If today the civilized world, led by the United States, doesn’t stand up and speak out for Israel and the world’s Jews,” Curry wrote, “when Islam comes for the Christians, and it will come, there will be no one left to speak for them.”
Great! Lovely! It’s an article that doesn’t call for people to kill Jews! So how did “Don’t kill the Jews” become “Kill All The Jews”?
When asked how the original headline ended up on the site, Carlson said one of the site’s editors, whom he declined to name, was likely “hungover.”
“I don’t know. We’ve got over 50 people here. He was hungover or something,” Carlson said.
Carlson said that The Daily Caller got no complaints about the headline, and that it was removed because it was inarticulate.
“I oversaw the correction,” he said. “It violated our first rule in that it wasn’t clear.”
Carlson repeated his suspicion about the editor who oversaw the headline.
“I assume the editor was hungover, but I don’t know,” he said. “I literally have no idea.”
